
New and totally free to Church of England parishes is a Governance module on The Church Organiser.
The new module helps PCC secretaries and administrators plan for APCMs and multiple PCC meetings, and includes all documentation and follow up. You can book a room, allocate tasks to other PCC members, note progress made and add comments. There’s a video which takes you through the new module in some detail, which you can view here.
I’m a volunteer PCC Secretary with a full-time job and I find managing PCC meetings hard. This module means I can give one hour to planning at the beginning of the year, and then all the remembering is done for me and I can relax a little.
As well as reminders around meetings, you can also add prompts for other regular tasks in your church’s year. Things like insurance renewals, financial reporting, Gift Aid claims and PAT testing can be added and allocated, with reminder emails being sent automatically to the right person eight weeks before the task is due.
