New look for Parish Resources

The Parish Resources website has been providing support for churches on governance, administration and giving since 2012. In response to the vision and strategy for the Church of England in the 2020s, Parish Resources will be undergoing phased redevelopment with a view to providing simpler support for parishes and dioceses.

The first priority was to secure and update the website to ensure the current content remains accessible to the 1000s of users who visit and download resources every year. While this work was carried out, we were able to give the website a much needed “refresh” as we look to improve accessibility and functionality.

If a frequent visitor, you’ll find the site is much the same, with the menus and many pages unchanged. However, there are a few new features we hope you’ll find useful:

  • Removal of the old icons from the homepage— all the previous links are still available through the menu at the top of the page.
  • “In the spotlight” feature which will change seasonally in response to parish priorities.
  • “Latest from Parish Resources” so we can keep you abreast of changes and new resources.
  • “Print this page” button at the end of the page which will produce a PDF ready for printing.
  • Footer with links to other Church of England websites.

As we aim to provide “support with the day to day” governance and administration of parishes, we will be working with the everyday people— that give generously of their time to keep churches running— and the dioceses that support them to ensure that we deliver the right content in the right way.

We will be communicating plans and giving advance notice of any changes in the here and through the newsletter, to minimise disruption to those looking to access resources. If you would like to give us any feedback, please use the link at the bottom of the page.

Thank you for all you do in support of your church.
